Today we talked about how the DFT can be used to analyze the spectrum of an (infinite duration) DT signal. We discussed the leakage created by truncating the signal, and the "picket fence effect" due to sampling the DTFT of the truncated signal. We finished the lecture with an example of DFT computation using two different methods.
