Dr. Blanco-Silva initially trained as a pure mathematician at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), where he specialized in Geometry and Topology. Blanco-Silva participated in the IMA thematic year on Mathematical Imaging, celebrated at the University of Minnesota.
