*@Spencer Carver, this is Varun Vasudevan (Email: vasudeva@purdue.edu). I am unsure if I will be able to work on this data set. But if you are willing to share and explain your experiments on the data set, then it would be very helpful to me. Thank You.

Yelp Dataset

Hello Everyone!

For those looking for dataset ideas for later in the class, I wanted to propose using the data at the following location:

http://www.yelp.com/dataset_challenge

This data is provided by Yelp for free and contains a subset of real-world busniess data (Phoenix, AZ). Since Yelp is a company that specializes in finding reviews, new ways to analyze this data is a very appealing subject to them, hence the challenge.

I personally have used this set briefly before, and found it interesting to work with some real world data (specifically, I was using the provided latitude and longitude coordinates).

You can access the data by providing a name and email, and agreeing to the terms of use.

Hope this can be helpful to someone! -Spencer Carver
