Converting to Polar Coordinates

Polar Coordinates: $ Z=M\angle\theta $

$ M=\sqrt{a^{2}+b^{2}} $

$ \theta=tan^{-1}\Big(\frac{b}{a}\Big) $

Converting to Rectangular Coordinates

Rectangular Coordinates: $ Z=a+bj $

$ a=M\cos \theta $

$ b=M\sin \theta $

$ Z=a+bj=M\cos\theta+jM\sin\theta $
