Answer: First, deactivate all independent sources. The voltage source becomes a wire, thus R_th is simply the equivalent resistance of the circuit.

R_th = R_eq =(100*50)/150 + 100 = 400/3 Ohms. This tests a student's ability to combine resistors in parallel and in series.
