Guest speaker for ECE400, Fall 2014


William P. Umlauf, Principal Research Engineer for ArcelorMittal Global Research and Development - Bill has more than 30 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in the defense, automotive and manufacturing industries. Bill has spent the last 25 years as a Research Engineer for ArcelorMittal in the areas of Control Systems and Dynamic Simulation specifically relating to steel manufacturing process improvement and product development. Over his career, Bill has had several published papers and a multiplicity of patents and company recognized awards. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Purdue Northwest and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue West Lafayette.
