Short bio for Steven Cuppy, Purdue BSEE and MSEE

Guest speaker for ECE400, Fall 2014


Steven Cuppy worked for AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies and AirTouch International (now Vodafone), primarily in the field of switching and wireless communications. He co-founded and grew Criterion Wireless Corp., a company specializing in measuring market share statistics for wireless service providers. Criterion was subsequently acquired. Most recently, he served as the president of an aviation company, where he managed the company’s operations and its transition after the death of the sole owner.



Mr. Cuppy earned BSEE and MSEE degrees from Purdue University and an MBA from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau, France. He has lived in Japan and France and is a co-inventor on one US patent.
