Lecture 23 Blog, ECE438 Fall 2011, Prof. Boutin

Monday October 16, 2011 (Week 9) - See Course Outline.

Today we continued our discussion of filtering by analyzing another simple filter. After obtaining the frequency response of this filter, we noted its band-pass characteristics. We also observed the relationship between the location of the poles and the zeros of the transfer function of this filter and the amplitude of its frequency response.

Action Items

  • Finish HW5. It is due next Wednesday (in class). Note that a few little changes were made to Question3.
