This course is designed for Engineering, MGMT, Science/Technology, Agriculture students and other students from related areas. Students may use this 3-credit course to count toward their plan of study.

Eligibility: All finishing sophomores through graduates Activities: Morning lectures by Purdue Faculty member Afternoon and weekend visitations of historic and cultural sites/ museums, city tour, Istanbul: Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Spice Bazaar Antalya: Side, Kekova, Demre, Amphitheater, Boat trip, Beaches, and many more

What’s Included: Bus rentals (sightseeing, transportation from and to airport), hotel room (double rooms), 3 course credits, daily breakfast, cultural events, company visits, expedition and exploration. Course Credits: 3 CREDITS

Total Cost: The anticipated cost for this program is approximately $2,642.35 plus airfare per person. (Same price for in-state and out of state students )

ANTALYA The Antalya Region, offering all the mysticism of past in our day, is now called the "Turkish Riviera" due to its archaeological and natural beauties. Antalya is the place where sea, sun, history and nature constitute a perfect harmony and which also includes the most beautiful and clearest coast along the . The city still preserves its importance as a centre throughout history in the south coast of the country, in addition to its wonderful natural beauties. The mythological city which housed the Gods and Goddesses now exhibits all its secrets and marvels to mankind. KEKOVA Island and the town of Kale (ancient Simena) to the west of Antalya make an idyllic daytrip for the traveler looking for a combination of sunshine, swimming and fascinating historic ruins. Along the edge of the island facing the mainland lie the fascinating half-submerged remains of a Lycian sunken city, and some remains also from the Byzantine times

DEMRE : Some people believe that Santa Claus did not exist but truth is that old Father Christmas did in fact exist as a historic personality. He did not come from beyond the North Pole where Reindeers roam, but lived under the warm Lycian sun as Bishop of Myra. His church and ex-tomb continue to exist as places of pilgrimage in the Turkish town of Demre (known also as Kale, near Antalya).

           ASPENDOS is located to the east of Antalya and is famous for its best-preserved ancient amphitheater built in the 2nd century AD during the reign of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The theater has a capacity of 15,000 people and is still used today for performances and festivals.
