Humans Vs. Zombies

And How It Is Relevant

I'm not sure how many of you have heard or even care about one of Purdue's newest and largest organizations, Boiler League of Tag, but I can tell you it is drawing a lot of participants and a lot of interest. The main thing the organization does is organize a giant game of Humans Vs. Zombies (HvZ) each semester.

I, personally, am fascinated by HvZ. I love the thrill and the community which HvZ instills. I liked it so much, I decided to be a moderator this year.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I feel HvZ is a great opportunity to study student interactions. Think about it. There's mass paranoia, and at the same time a need to organize. There is protection in numbers, but danger in mob mentality. As I observe the game this year, I plan on taking notes. And, hopefully when I combine that with the numbers of tags and when they happened, I can make some new insight into the human mind. So, expect to see this page updated over the next few weeks.

And yes, this was also a shameless plug for HvZ. :P
