  • I took MA366 fall 2009. I would recommend that you really take the time to understand what is happening when you use the characteristic equation and particular solution to solve homogeneous second order equations. That way, when you get to higher order and systems of differential equations, the transition will be a lot smoother. Josh Hunsberger
