This exam was better matched to our time limit than the first exam was. I was disappointed about the image filtering question; in class, Dr. Boutin mentioned that questions would be formatted so that we wouldn't need to focus on boundary conditions (by bordering the image with zeros, for example). On the exam, we were responsible for interpreting "symmetrical boundary conditions," which seems to have confused some students. It doesn't seem like knowing how to handle the boundaries is as important as knowing how to apply the filter to the image (at least in the context of this course). -Ryan
