My favorite theorem is the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem. It states: A subset A of $ R^n $ is compact if and only if it is closed and bounded. I like this theorem because it reduces the difficult problem of proving a set is compact to a simpler one of proving the set is closed and bounded.
