Interpolation using step functions


CT signals can be stored digitally as DT signals.
An example of this is a song on a cd
As seen below in the picture, a ct signal is converted to DT and then recovered using zero order interpolation.
The formaula is:
$ x(t)= \sum^{\infty}_{k = -\infty} x(kT) (u[t-kT]-u[t-(k+1)T]) $
