I know this is slightly late considering most people are done with grad school applications but I would really like feedback from current grad students who really and truly believe in grad school. I am a senior in EE and currently sick of attending school and honestly want to get out and get a real job.But I am really terrified of being out there as an under-qualified commoner under-grad. So I ask you, oh grad student, what made you come back? To school, to a place that barely gives lets you sleep for 5 hours and does not even pay you enough??

Awaiting feedback! --Sincerely Confused

Dear Confused Senior:

Grad school can be an rewarding experience if you let it. You willfinally have the opportunity to work on projects that truly interest you. The experience is quite different from the undergrad years. You are given more freedom, your professors look to YOU for the answers, and you get to search for answer to questions the world has yet to find. If you think the hard work required by graduate school is worth the rewards (only you can decide) then give it a shot. If you decide you would rather not stick around, you can still go find your "real job."

Good luck in making your decision.

Sincerly,

Happy Grad Student
