                                 Personal Statement

Dear, Sir or Madam

My name is Artyom Melanich. I currently am a senior at Purdue University majoring in Electrical Engineering graduating in May 2012. I am seeking for an internship for the summer 2012 in the field of electrical and computer engineering. I have found out that your company have open positions for students like me. The most interesting fields of electrical engineering for me are computer engineering, electronics, signal processing, and telecommunications. Currently as a fourth year student at Purdue University, I have had ample experience working in electrical engineering labs. Mainly, the focus of my education in college includes working with design of biasing networks, small signal amplifiers, and switching circuits. I also have experience in digital system design and hardware engineering such as CMOS and bipolar logic circuits. Moreover, I am quite adept in programming devices having had vast training in C++ and Java programming languages. I took programming course as my electives that Computer Science students usually and I did very good job there which expanded my knowledge. My knowledge in programming training coupled with my knowledge in electrical engineering can be beneficial for the telecommunication projects your company deals with. I also have studied broader computer programming including Web design, electronics that allowed me to deeply understand the connection between hardware and software, and the main principles of designing and troubleshooting the DC/AC circuits as well as with the networks. Success behind many engineering projects hides great team collaboration and I strongly believe I have this quality. I obtained a very good experience working in team during my years in college where most of my classes imply team work. For example, in class, Transform Ideas to Innovation, we worked in teams all the time and were taught how to work as a group of engineers and what is vital to overall success. In addition, I currently enrolled in advanced courses such as Signals and Systems, Probabilistic Methods, and Vertically Integrated Projects that will make me even more suitable for your company. I will work on signals and systems, applications of probability theory in engineering, and software for the android devices. I find that I have enough experience to share with my future co-workers and meet company requirements in the potential tasks. In addition, I have experience working as a TA in Electrical Engineering Circuit Design lab and Computer Science C programming lab where I help out students to work in teams towards the overall success and how it is important to be very good team player.

I sincerely hope for an interview call from you in the near future. I am willing to accept

any position related to the field where I can grow in experience and technical competence. I look forward to hear from you again and set up an interview. I am very flexible on time to have an interview by phone. I can also call you any time to arrange an interview. In the end, I want to thank you for your time reviewing my credentials.

Sincerely yours, Artyom Melanich
