Friday September 2, 2010 (Week 2) - See Course Outline.

In Lecture 6, we learned how to compute the inverse z-transform and worked out a bunch of examples. We also pointed out an important property of the ROC of the z-transform, namely that causal signals have ROCs that are either

  • the whole complex plane, or
  • the outside of a circle centered at the origin in the complex plane, or
  • the empty set.

Note: I will not be adding any new practice problem to the course wiki this time.
