Lecture 2 Blog, ECE438 Fall 2011, Prof. Boutin

Wednesday August 24, 2010 (Week 1) - See Course Outline.

In the second lecture, I explained how to transition from the continuous-time Fourier transform in terms of $ \omega $, which you have seen in ECE301, to the continuous-time Fourier transform in terms of f. Some subtleties regarding the rescaling of the Dirac delta were observed. The "rep" and "comb" functions were introduced, and in the next lecture, we shall compute their Fourier transforms.
