Lecture 14 Blog, ECE301 Spring 2011, Prof. Boutin
Friday February 11, 2011 (Week 5) - See Course Schedule.
After discussing the kind of problems that could be expected on the test, we talked a bit more deeply about the response of an LTI system to complex exponentials. In particular, we introduced the concept of "frequency response" of an LTI system and discussed how it can be used to compute the response of an LTI system to a periodic signal. This "filtering" view of the processing of a periodic signal with an LTI system is a key concept that we will build upon in the second part of the course.
Action items before the next lecture:
- Finish the fourth homework.
- Go over the solution of hw1, hw2, and hw3. Feel free to post questions/add comments/pointout mistakes directly on these pages.
