Nice job defining a memoryless system and showing an example of it.  You showed a good example of a system with memory, but it was a bit difficult to read your explanation. in the end it was pretty clear though.

Memory

Are the input and the "independent variable" the same thing? Could they be different? Could they be the same? Good example of a memoryless system but what makes it memoryless? Does a system with memory always depend on the past? Excellent example for a system with memory.
