Practice question for ECE201: "Linear circuit analysis I"
By: ECE student Paul Wonnacott
Topic: Equivalent Inductance
Question
Determine the equivalent inductance in the figure below. All units are in Henrys. https://www.projectrhea.org/rhea/images/f/f6/Equivalent_Inductance.pdf
Answer
You can ignore the 5 Henry inductor since it is shorted out. Combine the 3 and 4 Henry inductors in parallel to get 12/7 Henrys. Then add this to the 2 Henry in series to get the final answer of 26/7 Henrys.
