Dear SFI Community,

It is my pleasure to announce a call for applications for the 2014 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) internship program. We count on the SFI community who is already familiar with research at the Santa Fe Institute to help spread the word about our education programs and to encourage qualified individuals to apply. Please forward this message to anyone who might be interested in this opportunity. The application deadline is February 7, 2014.

APPLICATION PERIOD:  DEC. 2, 2013- FEB. 7, 2014

Who is Eligible: Undergraduates currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's degree. NSF funds are limited to supporting U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Women and minority students are encouraged to apply. 

Date of Program: June 8 - August 16, 2014

Support: All REUs room and board will be fully funded and students will be provided with a modest living and travel stipend.

Application Requirements: A current resume (CV), a statement of your current research interests and what you intend to accomplish during your internship (suggested length one to two pages), two (2) letters of recommendation from scholars who know your work, and official transcripts from each college or university attended.
