Just something to think about:
At one second till midnight, balls labeled 1 through 10 roll into a bag and the number 1 ball rolls out. Al 1/2 second till midnight, balls labeled 11-20 roll into the same bag and the number 2 ball rolls out. At 1/4 seconds till midnight, balls labeled 21-30 roll into the bag and ball number 3 rolls out. This pattern continues..... How many balls are left in the bag at midnight?
