Peer Legacy for ECE362: Microprocessing Systems and Inferfacing

  • This is quite the class. Dr Meyer has shoved a lot of work into one little semester. This course is not for the weak of heart. They've told you a half-dozen times before that the classes you were taking were weed-out courses, but this is the pinnacle Computer Engineering weed-out class. I would actually recommend this course to all ECE students, not just Computer Engineers. After taking this class, you can become much more marketable because of the knowledge you gain about microprocessors. Taking this course also allows you to take ECE477, the Digital Systems Senior Design course, which is an amazing experience. My advice to incoming students is to always do your labs before lab. Unlike 207/208, where you can get away with doing your labs during the given lab period, ECE362 is a completely different experience where you will need to do the lab over the weekend and save your lab period for perfecting and demonstration. --- Larry Price
