* I think professors do a fair amount to prevent cheating which is mainstream. They give a basic cheating policy "basically do not cheat", and do measures like giving different forms of exams. One improvement I would like is concrete expectations for how much "working together" you can do on homework. I have had some professors do this, but it's always a bit of a question how much help you're allowed to get from other people in the class.

I think regardless of what safeguards you put in, someone will always find a way around them. I'm sure professors know of many creative ways people have cheated. --[[User:Norlow|Norlow]] 12:18, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Do Purdue Professors do enough to prevent cheating?

You all heard that 10 students were recently caught cheating in a 200 level engineering course. Is cheating a widespread problem at Purdue? Do you think that Professors are doing everything they can to prevent cheating?

  • I think professors do a fair amount to prevent cheating which is mainstream. --Norlow 12:18, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
