Topics Discussed at the Teleconference

  • The teleconference began with introductions, after which we began discussing the scope of the project.
  • The HKUST team is planning on using the Realtek RTL8181 chip (datasheets are listed under brainstorming).
  • Both teams should do research to find what processor they want to use
  • Teams agreed that one good option for vehicle control would be through a website.
  • One goal for the Purdue team is to demonstrate some sort of communication once the protocols are established.
  • The vehicle platform decision was not made, though does not need to be exactly the same for each team. This is also something that should be researched.
