Question: Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a MS student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I work for Professor Delp in the Video and Image Processing Laboratory (VIPER) and for Professor Boutin in the Computational Imaging Laboratory (CIL).
Question:" What kind of background do you have that made you the right person to solve this challenge?
I am working as a software engineer, developing apps for Android devices. My Research Assistant position is currently focused on Image Analysis and Machine Translation for hand-held devices (Android, iPhone, Nokia smartphones).
Question:" Did the course you took in ECE help you prepare for this challenge?
I did not take the course, but I got similar background concepts during my undergraduate in Spain and last year here at Purdue, doing my Undergraduate's thesis.
Question:" When are you graduating and what do you plan to do when you graduate?
I am expecting to graduate in May 2012. I still do not know if I will stay for a PhD.
