Friday Meeting (Sep. 30)

Attendees: Dr. Johnson, Jason Holmes, Kin Chin Chua, Michael Piercy, Scott Stack, Chris Romanoff

Topics of Discussion

  • Confirmed that the creation of two different websites would help increase the collaboration between Purdue and HKUST.
  • Creation of the website will not count toward design criteria for 477. Thus, it should not be too involved as most energy should be spent on the rest of the project.
  • Group needs to look up how the processor and wireless tranceiver may be able to interface with a camera, such as a webcam.
  • Sensors added need to increase the autonomy of the vehicle as much as possible.
  • Possibility of adding a servo to the camera base to allow left/right motion brought up and added to possible peripherals.

  • POSTER SESSION APPROACHING: Group needs to meet sometime during the week to come up with a draft for the poster that will be ready by next Friday's meeting.

Work for the Week:

1. Meet to create draft of poster
2. Find wireless modules and figure out interface (what will be required of our processor?)
3. Make a list of interfaces needed to support the proposed peripherals
4. Look up ways to interface with a webcam in our system
