Does any have any hints for #4? I wish I had one. I've solved all the problems except this one. I kept trying to do something with the midpoints connected and then parallel lines, but got nowhere. - Sue

How far do we think we will get this Thursday on the Euclid problems?

For number 4 connect G to AM through U and call the point D. Do the same with G through V to MB called E. Then use Theorem 25 and 17 to make UGV ~ DGE. Figuring out the rest is easy. Hope that helps! -Jennie

How do you go about problem 6?--Jrhaynie 12:50, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

for 6, used theorem 15 twice. don't draw anything else new. Sue

Does anyone have a hint for #3 a. I got part way but then got stuck. I could also use a hint on #8. Thanks

For #8, draw a line parallel to AC downwards from point B and connect to CD extended below D. Use similar triangles between new triangle and ADC and find ratios of sides. Relate the similar angles between the three triangles. Now...I don't notice anything for #1. Jessica
