Answer

Since the switch is not connected the two 2 ohm resistors on the left are in series, which makes that 4 ohms, and the 4 ohm and 5 ohm resistor on the right are in series as well so that becomes 9 ohms. After that there will be a 4 ohm resistor on the left of the switch and a 9 ohm resistor on the right. These two resistors are in parallel so the equivalent resistance is 36/13 ohms.
